Receiving the cash float at the start of the shift and making sure the opening balance is correct. Running the POS system and checking that it’s ready to use. Carrying out sales transactions and issuing invoices to customers accurately. Collecting payments in cash or via approved electronic payment methods. Verifying that the received amounts and remaining balances for customers are correct. Ensuring electronic payment transactions are correct and completed successfully. Following approved prices and discounts and not making any changes without authorization. Handling returns and cancellations according to the approved procedures and policies. Taking care of cash, financial documents, and the entrusted float. Providing professional service to customers and treating them with politeness and respect. Keeping financial data and customer information confidential. Informing the direct supervisor immediately about any system malfunctions, financial errors, or unusual transactions. Performing an actual cash count at the end of the shift. Matching the actual cash balance with sales reports .and the accounting system Reviewing cash and electronic payment transactions and making sure they are recorded correctly. Preparing the cash closing report and handing it over to the responsible person. Documenting any shortage or surplus in the cash and reporting it immediately when discovered. Handing over cash, custody items, and financial documents according to the approved procedures. Making sure to close the shift in the system and not leave any pending transactions unprocessed.
